Leslie Andreula, RYT 200

Leslie began her yoga journey in 1999 and has been teaching since 2006. Experienced with kids, seniors, and many others in between, Leslie believes yoga holds benefits for everyone regardless of abilities, body type, age, or health condition. Her personal yoga practice has helped manage pain stemming from neck and back injuries. Leslie incorporates many different techniques into instruction including, but not limited to, Vinyasa (flowing poses with breath), hatha poses, pranayama (breathing techniques), meditation/guided imagery, aromatherapy, and chakra (energy) work. Leslie's mission is to create a yoga journey that allows each student to optimize his/her overall wellness.

Steve Bisby, RYT 200

 

One advantage of coming to yoga relatively late in life is that Steve was quickly aware of the improvements it was making to his overall well being. His lower back issues were almost immediately all but eliminated. As he continued it improved his flexibility, recovery time and mental attitude, weight loss took a little longer but eventually followed. Wanting to both deepen his knowledge of yoga and pass on its benefits to others, teacher training was the obvious next step. Steve is very proud to be a graduate of the Inaugural Teacher Training class at MOVE YFD and even more proud to be a member of the teaching staff here.


Catana Ewing, RYT 200

Finding her own relief from arthritis after studying yoga, Catana helps others find comfort in "practice rather than pills." Her classes are easy going and emphasize personal self-awareness, stretching and strength building. She will frequently point out the muscles being targeted in each pose and how they are being strengthened. Catana is a graduate of MOVE YFD’s 200 hour teacher training program.

Barbara Gonzalez, Zumba Instructor

Zumba fitness has provided Barbara with the opportunity to share the joy of dancing while helping participants achieve unbelievable health benefits. If you join one of her classes, expect to DANCE. Her class includes a little time travel, a little globe trotting and a lot of fun! Expect to cover various styles of dance such as: Salsa, Merengue, Reggaeton, Bollywood, Club Music... and the list goes on and on and on... The results will show. You will be invigorated, and over time you will see the effectiveness of the Zumba fitness method. It is truly transformative, both physically and mentally. Come dance, have a great time, be healthy and happy!

Lexi Harrington, RYT 200

Lexi received her instructor certification at Yoga Palm Beach. She has also been blessed with opportunities to teach at fitness and crossfit gyms, Florida Atlantic University, a manatee observation center, and a country club.

Along with physical benefits, Lexi believes that yoga fosters emotional, mental, and spiritual health. Learning to breathe and find peace in difficult poses has taught her to find the same peace during the difficulties of life.

Demetrius Klein, Dance Instructor

Demetrius Klein is a celebrated choreographer whose awards include the Hector Ubertalli Award for Artistic Excellence, a Choreographic Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts, a Guggenheim Fellowship, and several grants from the MacArthur Foundation. The Demetrius Klein Dance Company has been a staple of the regional arts scene — and South Florida’s oldest modern dance company — since 1986.

Kim Meehan, 

RYT 200

Born and raised in South Florida, Kim has been a lover and practitioner of yoga for years. Wanting to take things to the next level, she enrolled in teacher training at Native Yoga in Jupiter, FL, with Todd and Tamara McGlaughlin. It was a truly amazing experience. She has made many wonderful friendships within the yoga community, for which she is grateful beyond words. Kim aims to be a positive and strong role model for her daughter by encouraging health and wellness of mind, body and spirit. She is both eager and excited to see where her yoga journey leads.
