Vinyasa means "breath-synchronized movement," and Vinyasa yoga is a series of poses that will move you through the power of inhaling and exhaling. Born from the Ashtanga style Vinyasa yoga focusses on moving from pose to pose. Movements are smoothly flowing and almost dance-like, which explains why it is sometimes referred to as Vinyasa Flow or just Flow. This class flows slowly so students have time in each pose. Although similar to ashtanga yoga, the emphasis in this class is on flowing from pose to pose without stopping to correct finer points.
